PaintMixLab Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of PaintMixLab, made by E2M Ventures. Using the app means you accept them.
What PaintMixLab does — and what it cannot promise
PaintMixLab predicts how oil paints will look when mixed, using a spectral colour model calibrated against real painted swatches and manufacturers’ published data.
It is a guide, not a guarantee. Real paint varies between batches. Thickness, ground colour, drying, varnish, and the light you view a painting under all change the result. Photographs of paint are limited by your camera and your lighting. Recipes should be treated as a well-informed starting point to be adjusted by eye — which is what painting is.
We do not warrant that any predicted mixture will match a target colour, and we are not responsible for paint you use following a recipe.
Subscription
PaintMixLab Pro costs $2.99 per month and includes a 3-day free trial for new subscribers.
- It renews automatically each month until you cancel.
- Your account is charged within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Cancel any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period you are already in.
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the trial converts to a paid subscription.
How to cancel
Bought in the iPhone app: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Apple handles the billing, so only Apple can cancel or refund it. Deleting the app or your PaintMixLab account does not cancel the subscription.
Bought on the web: use the manage-subscription link in your purchase receipt.
One subscription, both places
A subscription unlocks PaintMixLab on the iPhone app and on the web. Sign in with the same email address in both.
Your account
You are responsible for the email address you sign in with and for what happens under your account. Do not share sign-in codes. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
Your content
Your photographs stay on your device — see the Privacy Policy. Calibration measurements you contribute may be combined anonymously with other painters’ data to improve the shared colour library; by contributing, you grant us permission to use them for that purpose. You keep any rights you have in your own work.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or resell the service, and do not use it unlawfully. We may suspend accounts that do.
Availability
We aim to keep PaintMixLab working, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change as the app develops. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give notice and stop billing.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms materially, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect for you.
